History Smashers: The Titanic
by Kate Messner

A quick but accurate overview of the Titanic

Demon Copperhead
by Barbara Kingsolver

View in Library Catalog

As a fan of Charles Dickens, I was highly skeptical about a book that retells “David Copperfield” in a modern time and place. But Barbara Kingsolver pulls that feat off marvelously.

This was ok. An easy romance to read

Mostly Harmless
by Douglas Adams

I love love love Douglas Adams--his witty humour is so fun and his characters are somehow simultaneously realistic and out of this world. These books are hard to describe but always great to recommend.

The end game

A fast paced read

An Island Princess Starts A Scandal
by Adriana Herrera

This book is the second in Herrera’s historic romances set in Paris in 1889 and was the sapphic summer read of my dreams. Loved every page!

Death At Wentwater Court
by Carola Dunn

This book was a quick, easy read with an easily solved mystery. It required a lot of suspension of belief (really? the police ask a house guest to record witness statements?) and had a highly irritating ending. I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 2 because I am feeling kind.
