Lots of good metaphors and figurative language. The message conveyed is obvious and makes you think a lot about life. Certain parts are uplifting, and you find yourself rooting for the animals.

This book was a quick, easy read with an easily solved mystery. It required a lot of suspension of belief (really? the police ask a house guest to record witness statements?) and had a highly irritating ending. I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 2 because I am feeling kind.

I really enjoyed this book! The characters were interesting and the plot kept me turning the pages. I couldn't put it down.

One of her best Richard Jury books. Kept you guessing.
